Call for Papers

Abstracts are invited for papers for the fifth annual All-Ireland Architecture Research Group conference to be held in Cork on the 29-30 January 2016. One of the aims of this conference is to not only engage with the seven schools of architecture in Ireland but also to encourage the participation of practising architects who wish to further their research interests.

Following the success of last year’s conference in Dublin, a call for sessions was issued in April. As a result of the positive response, thematic sessions have been selected. Each session will be made up of approximately four 20-minute papers. Time will be set aside at the end of each session to allow for questions and discussion.

Abstracts with a maximum of 300 words should be e-mailed to and also to the session chairs as detailed in each session proposal. The paper proposal should include the title of the paper, the name/s of the participant/s, relevant contact details, curriculum vitae and professional affiliation where applicable. The extension of the deadline for the receipt of abstracts is 05 October 2015.

Please note: Authors are asked to only submit one abstract for one session. Session chairs may propose amendments to the abstract and revisions to the paper. Session chairs will reserve the right to withhold the paper from the programme if necessary. With the approval of the author, papers may be included in an open session if a paper cannot be accommodated within a thematic session. It is a requirement of the conference that all participants register for the event on acceptance of papers.
